Application of reverse demulsifier - an example of oil field produced water treatment

2019-09-17 14:55:13

1: Raw water impurity classification

According to the viewpoint of oilfield sewage treatment, the small impurities in raw water can be divided into five categories.

1. Suspended solids

The particle diameter ranges from 1 to 100 mm, and the impurities in this part mainly include:

Sediment: 0.05-4 mm clay, 4-60 mm silt, and more than 60 mm fine sand;

Various corrosion products and scales: Fe2O3, Cao, MgO, FES, CaSO4, CaCO3, etc;

Bacteria: SRB 5-10 mm, TGB 10-30 mm;

Organic matter: heavy oil such as gum, asphaltene and paraffin.

2. Colloid

The particle size is 1 ´ 10-3-1 mm, which is mainly composed of mud and sand, corrosion and scaling products and micro organic matters. The material composition is basically similar to that of suspended solids.

3. Dispersed oil and floating oil

Generally, there is about 1000mg / L crude oil in the raw water of sewage, occasionally there is a peak oil content of 2000-5000mg / L, of which 90% is about 10-100mm dispersion

Oil and oil slick larger than 100 mm.

4. Emulsified oil

There are about 10% emulsified oil in the raw water.

5. Dissolved matter

Low molecular and ionic substances in dissolved state in sewage.

It mainly includes:

Inorganic salts dissolved in water

Basically, it exists in the form of cation and anion, and its particle size is less than 1 ´ 10-3mm, such as Ca2 +, Mg2 +, K +, Na +, Fe2 +, Cl -, HCO3 -, CO32 -, etc., as well as organic solutes such as naphthenic acids.

Dissolved gases, such as dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, hydrocarbon gas, etc., generally have a particle size of (3-5) ´ 10-4mm

Generally speaking, oilfield sewage is a complex multiphase system containing solid impurities, liquid impurities, dissolved gases and dissolved salts.

2: Process instances

Oil separation flotation biochemical degradation sedimentation adsorption filtration process.

1. Process processing

The raw water passes through the horizontal flow oil separator for oil removal and sedimentation, then passes through the dissolved air flotation tank for purification, and then enters into the aeration tank, primary and secondary biodegradation tanks and sedimentation tanks. Finally, it is lifted and discharged after sand filtration or adsorption filtration.

2. Process purification effect

Generally, after the open biological treatment process purification, the discharge water quality can meet the requirements of integrated wastewater discharge standard GB8978-1996.
